The Town of Aylmer is hosting a special Gear Up for Safety Bike Rodeo & Touch-a-Truck event this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Taking place at the East Elgin Community Complex- this bring your own bike event gives participants the chance to show off their safe cycling skills or learn some new ones from a number of local partners.
They’ll also be able to get up close and personal to fire trucks, police cruisers, and heavy equipment, while learning how it all works.
Those with the need for speed will also get the opportunity to test just how fast they can ride up against a radar gun.
Participants of the rodeo will even be entered into a draw to win a brand new bike.
Please note that those hoping to get involved must register/sign a participation waiver and a parent or guardian must remain on site.
Should the weather not cooperate, a rain date of July 6th has been set.
