In testing done this week, Southwestern Public Health is advising of high levels of bacteria at Port Burwell Provincial Park, Port Stanley Main Beach and Port Stanley Little Beach.
All other beaches in Elgin county are reporting safe levels of bacteria after testing earlier this week. This includes Erie Rest Beach in Port Stanley, which was unsafe for swimming last week.
Weekly beach water quality updates are available on the health unit’s website and also 24/7 by dialing 2-1-1, Ontario’s free information and referral service.
