June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day.
It is an opportunity for Canadians to listen to, elevate and amplify Indigenous voices, stresses Ray John, Indigenous Cultural teacher for the London District Catholic School Board.
He adds the conversation needs to continue year round.
He stresses questions from youngsters about Canada’s Indigenous Peoples need to be encouraged.
The entire month of June is celebrated as Indigenous History Month.
