Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement for St. Thomas and Elgin.
There is the potential for heavy rainfall due to the remnants of Hurricane Beryl on Wednesday and Thursday.
Torrential downpours giving rainfall rates of 20 to 40 mm per hour are possible at times.
The rain is expected to begin late Tuesday night or Wednesday, and continue into Thursday.
A Rainfall Warning may be issued as confidence in the track of the system increases.
