The St. Thomas Police are once again helping families keep busy during the summer months with the return of their Boredom Busters.
Join our local officers on Wednesday, July 17th from 10 a.m. to noon to take part in free youth pick-up basketball, road hockey and new this year- soccer!
With an aim at keeping kids active and entertained during the summer months, Corporate Communications Coordinator Samantha Wakefield, invites all the youth in our community to join in on the fun!
It all takes place on the north side parking lot of the Joe Thornton Community Centre, just across the street from the police station.
While these events are completely free and don’t require registration, Wakefield stresses that a parent or guardian must be on site.
Not only are these events an excellent chance for children in our community to see the friendly faces behind the uniforms and learn about the essential role that police play, it also gives the officers the chance to change things up adds Wakefield.
For updates and information on future Boredom Busters, be sure to follow the St. Thomas Police Service on Facebook.
