It’s an event where dogs are welcome and people are tolerated!
Coming up Saturday is the Pawsitively Elgin Dog Festival at Pinafore Park, all in support of local animal rescues.
This year’s beneficiaries are Helping Paws Rescue and Happy’s Place Retirement Home for Dogs.
The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with admission being $5 per person. Kids under 12 and dogs are free.
Those taking in the day can expect demos and entertainment, including a Flying Furballs Dog Show. There will also be a Doggie Cool Off Zone, the Puppy Pen Kid’s Zone, the chance to ‘PAWZ for a Photo,’ featuring different backgrounds and costumes and so much more.
Over 100 vendors and sponsors will be set up on site, meaning tons of shopping and samples from local small businesses to had!
For more details you can visit the Pawsitively Elgin Dog Festival website or stay up to date through Facebook.
