Refusing to provide a breath sample to police was one of the many wrong decisions a 29-year-old Aylmer man made last Thursday.
Aylmer Police say that round 11:45 that night, they were made aware of a possible impaired driver in the area.
Once located on Fourth Ave, officers detected an odour of alcohol on the driver, at which time a roadside screening device demand was made. The male refused and was placed under arrest for failing to provide a breath sample.
A search of the vehicle revealed an open container of alcohol, for which he was also charged under the Liquor Licence and Control Act.
The 29-year-old driver was released from the scene on an appearance notice, with his licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for 7 days.
He will appear in St. Thomas court later this month.
