A free cancer screening pop-up clinic will again be offered in St. Thomas tomorrow (Friday, Aug 9).
The clinics are hosted by the Thames Valley Family Health Team to address the needs of those without a family physician or nurse practitioner.
There are approximately 7,000 individuals in St. Thomas and Elgin who fall into this category and nurse practitioner Andrea Hunt talks about the value of the new clinics and the services offered.
These clinics are geared to specific target groups, and Hunt explains the role and value of nurse practitioners at the clinics.
Hunt details the services available through the Thames Valley Family Health Team.
She touches on the challenges rural residents face in obtaining healthcare services.
The clinics are hosted at 230 First Ave., suite 109. To book an appointment, call 226-626-8440 and press ‘4’ to speak to an administrative assistant.
