Frank Stronach has broken his silence in an interview with CBC’s The Fifth Estate.
The 91-year-old billionaire businessman is charged with sexually assaulting 10 complainants.
In clips aired by the CBC, Stronach claims his accusers are pursuing the cases against him to take his money, and cites the state of the economy as a possible motivation behind the accusations.
Court documents show that the accusations relate to incidents as far back as 1977 and include charges of rape, attempted rape, indecent assault, forcible confinement and sexual assault.
Stronach is the founder and former chief executive of auto parts manufacturing giant Magna International, which has several operations here in St. Thomas.
