With the dog days of summer here, the St. Thomas Police are once again giving youth the chance to get outside and get active with them.
The first Boredom Buster of summer took place back in July, with Corporate Communications Coordinator, Samantha Wakefield noting an amazing turn out!
If you missed the chance to take part, you can join our local officers Wednesday, August 14th from 10 a.m. to noon for this free community event featuring youth pick up sports.
As in years past, basketball and road hockey will be set up on site, with the addition of soccer for 2024 explains Wakefield.
It all takes place on the north side parking lot of the Joe Thornton Community Centre, just across the street from the police station.
While these events are completely free and don’t require registration, Wakefield stresses that a parent or guardian must be on site.
In addition to all the fun, Wakefield says refreshments will also be available for the youth to keep cool!
