Breast cancer in men is rare, but it is real and it is treatable.
Just ask Port Stanley resident Brian Lynch.
He was diagnosed with male breast cancer on May 14, 2021.
And last August, he and his surgeon Dr. David Bottoni launched the inaugural Bottoni Ride for male breast cancer awareness.
The second edition of the fundraiser is this Saturday and Lynch explains there is a change to the route taken by the motorcycle enthusiasts.
He notes there will be a unique addition to this year’s motorcycle ride.
Lynch explains where all money raised is destined.
He is encouraged that the world is getting out there about the reality of male breast cancer.
Lynch hopes that in the future, this form of cancer will no longer be gender specific.
