With summer vacation coming to a close in just a few short days, the late nights of fun will soon turn to early mornings for our local students.
While it may be hard to get them on board, this week should be used to get kids ready for school, not as one last week of “anything goes.”
myFM spoke with Health Promoter Jennifer Dahl who explains some of the ways you can start establishing a routine.
She also goes over what the ideal routine would be.
When it comes to screens, you should not only limit the amount of time but also when it takes place.
Dahl knows that for many kids this will be quite an adjustment, but like most things in life- practice makes perfect!
She also said that for many kids, this could be a nervous or exciting time, and that parents and caregivers are encouraged to have open conversations about this as the start of the school year approaches.
