St. Thomas-Elgin Local Immigration Partnership is celebrating Welcoming Week, taking place September 13th through 22nd.
Welcoming Week is a global initiative that celebrates the people, places, and values that make our communities welcoming and is a time to come together and commit to welcoming newcomers to Canada in our communities.
Across St. Thomas-Elgin, various organizations are running events to mark the week, including a Mennonite Heritage Week Soup Cook-Off with Mennonite Community Services, Bilingual Storytime taking place at the St. Thomas Public Library and an Open House hosted by St. Thomas Police Service.
