A motorcyclist who suffered life-threatening injuries in a two-vehicle collision Friday afternoon north of Talbotville has died in a London hospital.
According to Facebook posts, the individual is Joe Gowers.
London Police did not release the identity of the motorcyclist.
On the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League Facebook page, a tribute is paid to Gowers, a member of the league’s London Nationals from 2012 to 2022 and then with the St. Marys Lincolns in 2023.
“The GOJHL is deeply saddened by the sudden loss of former London Nationals’ and St. Marys Lincolns’ trainer, Joe Gowers.
“We extend our thoughts and condolences to Joe’s family and friends at this time.”
The collision occurred on Col. Talbot Road at Southminster Bourne.
London Police are appealing to members of the public to contact them if they have dash-cam footage, video surveillance, or any information that can assist with the investigation.
