Last Wednesday (September 18th), Alymer Police were called to a Parkview Heights residence to speak to a 67-year-old woman who reported her spouse, a 62-year-old St. Thomas man, had previously assaulted her.
Additionally, he prevented her from leaving the house and calling 911.
During the summer of 2019, the man had prevented her from leaving the house, pulling her back inside and injuring her forearm.
And in February of 2022, the man, under the influence of alcohol, grabbed her cellphone and smashed it on the floor when the woman attempted to call police.
The man has been charged with two counts of spousal assault, as well as one count of mischief.
