The Liberal government has survived a second non-confidence vote in as many weeks.
The NDP and Bloc Québécois voted against the Conservative motion in the House of Commons Tuesday afternoon.
But the Bloc is threatening to topple the minority government if the Liberals don’t agree to its plan to increase pension benefits for seniors.
The Bloc wants to increase old age security payments by ten per cent for seniors under the age of 75, matching an earlier Liberal move for older seniors.
