A 43-year-old St. Thomas man has been charged with sexual assault and failure to comply with probation following an incident at a local restaurant on Saturday.
According to St. Thomas Police, the victim was dining around 11:30 a.m. when an unknown man approached and touched them in a sexual manner.
The suspect then left the restaurant and fled the area on a power scooter.
The victim and the accused were not known to each other.
Following an investigation, police identified and arrested the suspect on October 8th.
He was taken to police headquarters, processed, and held in custody for a court appearance.
