The Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners has appointed Stéphane Ouellet as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective November 18, 2024.
With over 20 years of healthcare leadership experience, Ouellet most recently served as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Middlesex Health Alliance, where he spearheaded the creation of a Health Village model at one of its hospital sites. This initiative included several innovations to advance seniors’ care and enhance patient experience.
Mike McMahon, Chair of the Board, expressed confidence in Ouellet’s ability to expand services and strengthen impact in Elgin, Middlesex, and Oxford counties. “His deep expertise in healthcare innovation, community engagement and passion for dementia care make him the ideal leader to guide the Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners into the future. His ability to blend operational leadership with forward-thinking strategy will help us expand our services and strengthen our impact across the communities we serve.”
“I am delighted to join the Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners and look forward to working closely with the Board, staff, volunteers and community partners to build on the Society’s strong foundation,” said Ouellet. “Together, we will continue to innovate dementia care while creating compassionate and inclusive communities for those affected by dementia.”
Ouellet succeeds Carol Walters, who is retiring after serving as CEO since 2017.
