Elgin OPP have charged two individuals from Wardsville following an investigation into a suspicious vehicle in West Elgin.
On Sunday (Oct 27) around 11:40 p.m., officers approached a vehicle in a parking lot near the intersection of Main and Argyle Streets.
During the investigation, police discovered the occupants were allegedly in possession of illegal drugs, suspected to be cocaine and cannabis.
The driver, 26-year-old William Wright, faces charges of possession of cocaine, having over 30 grams of cannabis in a public place, and having cannabis readily available in a vehicle.
The passenger, 25-year-old Terri-Lynn Brooks, is also charged with possession of cocaine and exceeding the legal public limit for cannabis possession.
Both Wright and Brooks are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas on December 2nd to answer to the charges.
