The St. Thomas Fire Department and 94.1 myFM are teaming up once again this year to share the 12 Days of Holiday Fire & CO Safety Tips.
As the festive season approaches, our local fire department wants emphasized the importance of preventing common yet avoidable accidents around the holidays, while giving our listeners the chance to win a fun prize package in the process.
For those who listened to the 7 and 8:30 news this morning, you’ll already know that Tip #1 is all about Holiday Lights!
Use outdoor-rated LED lights and hang with nail-free clips this year. Cut your loss and toss damaged strings – an electrical fire is a sure bet for a lousy holiday. Make the holidays even brighter with working smoke alarms!
