It’s a treasured holiday tradition at 94.1 myFM and it’s set to return Thursday.
For 11 years now, our team as well as an amazing group of local sponsors have been making our Project Poinsettia deliveries to local nursing and long-term care homes, hoping to bring a smile to the face of seniors across St. Thomas and Elgin county.
It’s a special day for all involved but especially Dave Thomson, Senior Account Executive at 94.1 myFM. He’s been a part of the initiative since Day 1 and explains how we’ll be spending our time on December 12th.
The way in which we do things have changed slightly since the COVID-19 pandemic, limiting our ability to sometimes meet face to face. But when we do get to stop in, Thomson says it can definitely get emotional.
Adding that we are more than happy to be that special visitor each year.
Thomson notes that myFM is so grateful to all of our sponsors for making Project Poinsettia possible, including Briwood Farm Market and Greens Market Bakery for supplying us with goodie bags for the seniors and Family Flowers for helping us secure hundreds of Poinsettias each year.
