A 59-year-old St. Thomas man has been charged with second-degree murder after a suspicious death Thursday at a Highview Drive residence.
Just after 7 p.m., Michael Mitchell attended London Police headquarters requesting a wellness check on his brother, 60-year-old Jeffrey, after an incident between the two earlier in the day.
St. Thomas Police checked at the residence where they found the body of Jeffrey.
The accused was returned to St. Thomas where he has been charged.
There is no indication at this time as to why the accused contacted police in London.
Police advise there is no ongoing risk to the public.
Area residents are advised there will continue to be a police presence throughout the afternoon.
