A 36-year-old St. Thomas resident has been arrested following a reported gun threat in the city on Thursday evening.
Police were called to a home on the north side of the city around 4:30 p.m. on January 30 after a resident returned home to find the accused waiting for them.
The two individuals, who have an ongoing dispute, became involved in an altercation, during which the accused allegedly threatened the victim and displayed a firearm before fleeing in a vehicle.
Officers obtained a description of the suspect and their vehicle, locating them at an address on Talbot Street around 2:30 a.m. Friday.
The suspect was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon, uttering threats, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and pointing a firearm.
The accused was transported to police headquarters, processed, and held in custody following a court appearance.
