Two 49-year-old St. Thomas residents have been arrested following a break-in at a new construction site this morning.
Just before 5 a.m. Monday, police responded to a call from an alert citizen reporting a suspicious person near Manor Road. Officers arrived to find two individuals inside the garage of a home, with several stolen items linked to other residential sites in the area.
Both individuals were arrested and charged with break and enter. During the investigation, officers determined that one suspect had provided a false identity. They were later correctly identified and charged with obstructing a peace officer.
The accused were transported to police headquarters, processed, and held for a court appearance.
