At its first meeting of the new year last week, Southwestern Public Health re-elected Oxford County Councillor Bernia Martin as board chair.
She was first appointed to the board as vice-chair in 2023.
Health unit CEO Cynthia St. John noted, “Bernia has been a strong advocate for local public health initiatives over the past year and continues to advance our organization’s work. She encourages leaders at the board and staff level to be strategic and innovative when delivering our programs and services.”
At the same meeting, Southwold Mayor and Elgin County Warden Grant Jones was again elected vice-chair of the board.
