The Canadian travel industry is one of many starting to see the effects of a Donald Trump Presidency, including the threat of tariffs.
According to the US Travel Association, with 20.4 million visits last year, Canadians make up the majority of international visits to the US.
And Vice-President of Blowes Travel, Rob Blowes says it’s been a busy season for travel.
Blowes says travel agents are hearing stories from concerned Canadians who are rethinking their trips down south.
Blowes notes tariffs would result in an even lower Canadian dollar, so travel Stateside could be affected for a while.
