A 29-year-old St. Thomas resident faces weapon and other charges following an intimate partner violence investigation.
On Tuesday afternoon (March 4), St. Thomas Police responded to a report of a verbal argument escalating into violence at a southside apartment.
The victim had been assaulted and confined to the unit. They were injured but able to contact a relative who called 9-1-1.
Later that day, police searched the accused’s residence where they located a functional conducted energy weapon (CEW).
Additionally, police discovered 20.9 grams of suspected psilocybin with an estimated street value of $209.
The accused faces the following charges:
- Assault
- Forcible confinement
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon
- Possession of a Schedule III substance
The individual was processed and held for court.
