The St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital (STEGH) Foundation is all smiles this week as Tim Hortons’ annual Smile Cookie campaign returns, once again supporting local healthcare.
Seven Tim Hortons locations in St. Thomas are taking part in the week-long fundraiser, with 100% of proceeds from Smile Cookie sales being donated to the STEGH.
That was STEGH Foundation President & CEO, Mary Lou Crowley, who let us know that funds raised during this year’s campaign will help purchase new fetal heart monitors for the hospital.
Shawna Cunningham, Vice President People Services & Strategy at STEGH, explains the impact we as residents can help make this week.
This marks the 11th year that the STEGH Foundation has been the local beneficiary of the Smile Cookie initiative. Franchisee Diane Stewart, shares why STEGH is so important to their team.
To participate in this year’s campaign, just visit your local Tim Hortons restaurant or place an order through the Tim Hortons app.
But the STEGH Foundation isn’t the only local group you can support this week.
The Tim Hortons restaurants in Aylmer, Belmont and West Lorne will be raising funds for the Elgin School Nutrition Program.
Those who are out in Dutton can stop by one of the Onroute restaurants to support Million Dollar Smiles.
Tim Hortons restaurant owners across North America have now raised over $130 million through the sale of Smile Cookies, including a record-breaking $19.8 million raised last year alone.
