The Thames Valley District School Board has announced a donation of $229,150 to United Way agencies in Elgin Middlesex and Oxford, following the conclusion of its 2024 campaign last November.
The funds were raised through contributions from students and staff across the district, including payroll deductions and school events. TVDSB Interim Director of Education Bill Tucker praised the ongoing partnership, noting the life-changing impact of United Way-funded programs in local school communities.
“For many people in our area, the programs funded by the United Way are life changing. We are thankful for our partnership with United Way and the work they do in our school communities,” Tucker said.
TVDSB thanked its many site champions, students and staff for their enthusiastic support, which will help the United Way continue its vital work across the region.
