The Aylmer Police Service is inviting the community to safely dispose of old electronics and protect personal data at a free shredding and recycling event on Friday, May 10th.
Running from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the front parking lot of the Aylmer Police station at 20 Beech Street, the event is part of a fraud prevention initiative in partnership with the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA).
Community members are encouraged to bring old hard drives and other data-storing devices for secure destruction, along with other unwanted electronics for environmentally responsible recycling.
The ERA uses ISO-certified processes to ensure all data is permanently destroyed and materials are handled in line with strict environmental standards.
No registration is required. For more information about the ERA, visit era.ca.
