One person’s trash could be another’s treasure during Aylmer’s spring Curbside Swap, happening May 16th through 19th.
Back for another year, the community-wide reuse initiative encourages residents to place unwanted but reusable items at the curb for others to pick up and rehome—completely free of charge. The program is part of the Town of Aylmer’s ongoing effort to reduce landfill waste and promote sustainable living.
Items can be placed at the curb starting at 7 a.m. on Friday, May 16, and left out through the Victoria Day long weekend.
Participants are asked to ensure items don’t block sidewalks or roadways and to clearly label any containers not intended for giveaway with their address to avoid confusion.
Organizers remind participants to respect others’ property, follow all traffic and parking rules while browsing, and to consult the Government of Canada’s guidelines on secondhand item safety.
Residents are responsible for removing any unclaimed items after the event.
