A 33-year-old Brantford man was pulled over by Aylmer Police after failing to stop at a stop sign at Centre and Sydenham streets.
He was using his cellphone at the time and nearly collided with a cruiser.
A traffic stop was conducted and the officer detected alcohol on the driver and administered a roadside screening test with a result in the warn range.
