Drivers using Highbury Avenue in St. Thomas are being advised to plan ahead next week as overnight closures are scheduled for a major road improvement project.
Beginning Sunday, June 1, crews will be applying a final top coat of asphalt to the stretch of Highbury Avenue between Ron McNeil Line and South Edgeware Road.
The work is scheduled to take place overnight from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with completion expected by the morning of Saturday, June 7.
To ensure safety for both workers and drivers, Highbury Avenue will be closed to through traffic during work hours, reopening each morning at 7 a.m.
