Elgin County is asking for public input as it continues work on a new Transportation Master Plan (TMP) aimed at guiding how people and goods move throughout the region through 2054.
A public survey is now open, where residents and business owners are invited to share their experiences, challenges, and priorities when it comes to transportation across Elgin County.
The TMP will consider all modes of travel—including driving, walking, cycling, transit, and commercial vehicles—while taking into account community growth, safety, sustainability, and accessibility.
The survey only takes a few minutes to complete and will help identify key issues and opportunities as the County develops the plan.
The Transportation Master Plan is a long-term strategic document, intended to guide future infrastructure investments and policy decisions over the next 25 years. It will also help align transportation planning with broader goals related to economic development, the environment, and community well-being.
The public survey is open until June 13, 2025.
More details, including project timelines are available on the Engage Elgin website.
