A construction vehicle with an unsecured crane arm caused damage on Elm Street in Aylmer late Thursday night, leading to charges for the driver.
Aylmer Police were called to the scene shortly after 10:30 p.m. on June 5th after overhead wires were reported down.
Officers determined the crane arm had not been properly closed before the vehicle departed, striking the wires and breaking a utility pole.
As a result, a 45-year-old man from Woodstock was charged with Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
