A 28-year-old St. Thomas resident is facing charges after an investigation into the unauthorized sharing of intimate images.
St. Thomas Police Service launched the investigation on June 9th after a victim came forward, reporting that several private images of themselves had surfaced on multiple social media platforms.
The victim told police they were unaware the photos had been taken or distributed.
Following the investigation, officers charged the accused with Distributing an Intimate Image Without Consent.
On Tuesday, the individual turned themselves in at police headquarters, where they were processed and released on an undertaking.
They are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
