St. Thomas police are investigating a firearms incident that occurred early Tuesday morning (June 17) in the area of Erie and Talequah Streets, just south of Wellington Street.
Officers responded around 1 a.m. after receiving several 9-1-1 calls about gunshots. Upon arrival, police found evidence of gunfire, including damage to a home consistent with bullet holes.
No injuries have been reported.
Police say the incident appears to have been targeted and believe there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
Officers will remain on scene as the investigation continues, and the public is asked to avoid the area.
