The St. Thomas Stars have added experience between the pipes with the signing of 19-year-old goaltender Eric McDonald.
The Mount Brydges native joins the team from the Dorchester Dolphins of the PJHL, where he posted standout numbers over the past two seasons.
This includes a 30-10-3 record, a .926 save percentage, and a 2.65 goals-against average last year alone.
McDonald says he was drawn to the organization for its strong reputation and high-level facilities, and is looking forward to stepping into a leadership role on a younger roster.
The Stars continue to round out their roster ahead of the 2025-26 season, following the unveiling of a revamped coaching staff. This includes former NHLer and Stanley Cup champion Jason Williams, who takes over as head coach, filling the void left by Dave Matsos. More on that announcement can be found here.
