St. Thomas Police are investigating a break and enter that led to a fire at a downtown business early Monday morning.
Officers were called to the 600 block of Talbot Street after the St. Thomas Fire Department extinguished a blaze involving renovation debris set fire inside the building.
Police say evidence of forced entry was discovered, along with damage to electrical wiring that appeared to be part of an attempt to remove copper wire.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and no surrounding buildings were affected.
The investigation is ongoing as police continue to review available evidence.
