St. Thomas Police have concluded an investigation into the death of a 17-year-old whose body was discovered Monday morning in a residential area of St. Thomas.
Officers were called to the area of Hemlock Street and Elmina Street around 10 a.m. on June 30th following reports of a deceased individual.
Police remained on scene throughout the day as the investigation unfolded, but assured the public there was no threat to safety.
On Wednesday, July 2, St. Thomas Police confirmed that the death had been deemed accidental.
The deceased has been identified as CJ Turley of St. Thomas.
In a brief statement, the St. Thomas Police Service extended condolences to Turley’s family, adding that no further details will be released.
