Young food lovers in St. Thomas have a new reason to get excited about Wednesdays in July.
Ignite Youth Centre is inviting youth ages 10 to 15 to roll up their sleeves and sharpen their kitchen skills with “Chefs in Training”, a beginner-friendly cooking program running every Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on July 9, 16, 23 and 30.
The free four-week series is designed to give participants a fun, hands-on introduction to the kitchen.
From kitchen safety and hygiene to basic knife skills and step-by-step recipes, youth will learn how to create simple, tasty meals they can recreate at home.
All tools and ingredients are provided, and no prior experience is required—just an appetite for learning.
Spots are limited, and those interested are asked to register at igniteyouthcentre.eventbrite.ca.
