St. Thomas’ own Rachel McAdams will soon take her place among Hollywood royalty.
The acclaimed actress was named to the Hollywood Walk of Fame Class of 2026 on Wednesday, joining 34 other honorees across film, television, music, live theatre, and sports entertainment.
Her star will be part of the Motion Pictures category, alongside the likes of Emily Blunt, Molly Ringwald, Rami Malek, Timothée Chalamet, and Stanley Tucci.
McAdams, a graduate of Central Elgin Collegiate Institute, rose to international fame with standout performances in Mean Girls, The Notebook, and Spotlight—the latter earning her an Academy Award nomination. Her ability to shift between drama and comedy has made her a beloved and versatile presence on screen.
Other names joining McAdams in 2026 include Miley Cyrus, Josh Groban, Air Supply, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, Shaquille O’Neal, Chef Gordon Ramsay, and Sarah Michelle Gellar, among others.
Dates for the star ceremonies will be announced at a later time.
