The City of St. Thomas is asking residents to weigh in on a proposal to rename the pickleball courts at Pinafore Park in honour of the late Dave Hall.
The St. Thomas Pickleball Club submitted the request to recognize Hall’s major role in establishing the club in 2013 and championing the sport’s growth locally through tournaments, facility upgrades, and community initiatives. If approved, the courts would be renamed the “Dave Hall Pickleball Courts.”
Before a final decision is made, the city is launching a 30-day public consultation until July 31. Residents can review the proposal and submit anonymous feedback through a short online survey.
All responses will be compiled and presented to city council for review after the consultation period ends.
