The St. Thomas Police Service is inviting kids to lace up their running shoes and beat the summer slump as their free Boredom Busters events return.
The first one is set for Wednesday, July 16th from 10 a.m. to noon in the shaded north-side parking lot beside the Joe Thornton Community Centre.
Samantha Wakefield, Corporate Communications Coordinator for the St. Thomas Police Service reminds the community that no registration is required- simply show up, bring your energy, and have some fun.
Not only are these Boredom Busters an excellent chance for youth in our community to see the friendly faces behind the uniforms and learn about the essential role that police play, it also gives the officers the chance to change things up adds Wakefield.
Participants are reminded to dress for the weather, wear proper footwear, bring water, and that a parent or guardian must be on site.
The next Boredom Buster will take place on Wednesday, August 13th, same time and location.
