The Aylmer Fire Department is enhancing its public education efforts thanks to a $22,600 grant from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada.
The funding supports the purchase of a digital fire extinguisher training system — a vital tool that will allow firefighters to deliver realistic, hands-on fire safety education.
The department expressed its gratitude to the foundation, the local Firehouse Subs restaurant in St. Thomas, and the many donors who made the grant possible.
The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada supports first responders by providing lifesaving equipment, training, and resources to help them better serve their communities.
