An update to the Bush Line incident from Wednesday.
Just after 6 a.m., Elgin OPP responded to a Bush Line address where officers encountered an individual barricaded inside.
The incident was resolved later in the afternoon with the arrest of 38-year-old Dennis Churchill.
He remains in custody and will appear in St. Thomas court on July 17.
He has been charged with:
- Robbery with theft
- Uttering threats – Cause death or bodily harm
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Hydromorphone
- Possession of a Schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking – Nabilone
- Possession of ammunition contrary to prohibition order
