Grab your leash and your four-legged best friend as the Pawsitively Elgin Dog Festival is back for a full weekend of furry fun, family entertainment, and fundraising for local animal rescues.
Taking place Saturday, July 19 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, July 20 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., this two-day festival is all about celebrating the special bond between people and their pups.
Admission is $10 per person, while kids under 12 and dogs get in free.
Held in spacious Pinafore Park, the festival features live stage shows, a lure course, agility training, microchipping clinic, bouncy castles, and a Kid’s Zone for the for little ones. There’s also a Doggie Cool-Off Zone, scent dog demos, and mega sniffing spots to keep tails wagging all day long.
Shoppers can browse through dozens of vendor booths and enjoy great food and ice cream right on site.
Run entirely by volunteers, the event this year supports Helping Paws Rescue and the St. Thomas Animal Shelter, with all proceeds going directly to these local organizations.
