Today: Baby Storytime is being hosted at St. Thomas Public Library Friday from 10:30 to 11 a.m. This storytime is designed for babies and their caregivers to explore early literacy through gentle stories, songs, and rhymes. Start your reading journey together in a cozy, welcoming environment. *Please note: this program is exclusively for babies who cannot walk yet.

Tomorrow/Sunday: The Pawsitively Elgin Dog Festival is back for a full weekend of furry fun, family entertainment, and fundraising for local animal rescues. Taking place Saturday, July 19 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, July 20 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., this two-day festival is all about celebrating the special bond between people and their pups. Tomorrow/Sunday:: The Piano Peace Project “Art in Action” will see local artists, led by Ukrainian artist Maksym Nechytailo, transform a piano into an art piece promoting peace and support for Ukraine at the Elgin County Railway Museum this weekend. More details can be found here.
Tomorrow/Sunday: The Elgin County Drowning Prevention Coalition is leading a week of education and community action as part of National Drowning Prevention Week. Events will officially kick off Saturday, July 19th, with a free public swim at the Aylmer Pool from 1:30 to 4 p.m. This will be followed by another community swim at Jaycees Pool in St. Thomas on Sunday, July 20th.
