Justice Maria Carroccia is expected to rule today on whether the actions of five members of Canada’s 2018 world junior team at a London hotel constituted sexual assault.
Michael McLeod, Carter Hart, Alex Formenton, Dillon Dube and Cal Foote have all pleaded not guilty to sexual assault.
McLeod is also faces an additional charge of sexual assault for “being a party to the offence.”
The complainant, was 20 at the time and cannot be identified under a publication ban.
During the trial, which lasted two months this spring, she took the stand via CCTV over nine days, seven of them cross-examination by the defence.
