Two London residents are facing numerous charges following a traffic stop Wednesday on Sunset Road in Central Elgin.
Just before 3 p.m. Elgin OPP stopped a vehicle due to an alert on the Automated Licence Plate Recognition system.
As a result of the stop, the Elgin and Middlesex Community Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant at a London address which led to further charges against the female motorist.
Tanya Tuckey, 44, is charged with:
· Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
· Two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Opioid
· Operation while impaired
· Failure to comply with undertaking
· Drive motor vehicle – no licence
· Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
· Driving a vehicle with cannabis readily available
After the search at a London address, Tuckey is also charged with:
· Two counts of possession of firearm contrary to prohibition order
· Possession of a crossbow contrary to prohibition order
· Unauthorized possession of a firearm
· Careless storage of a firearm and ammunition
Kenneth Dale, 51, is charged with:
· Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
· Failure to comply with undertaking
Both were held for bail and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas on July 24.
